SCENOGRAPHER
I am a visual artist who loves to chase magic in every image.
Scenography is creating magic through creating a tableau vivant,
with lights and objects.
I learned that scenography and light work together, they are two players who dance symbiotic, they re-inforce each other and when blended carefully they create magic ... a place where the play and actors are amplified in their performance.
I gradutated at the royal academy of arts as a scenographer, my first jobs were designing and creating scenography & light for theatre plays. I toured many years with theatre groups and learned the skills of building up the stage, setting up the scenery, installing the lights according to my light design, doing the technical rehearsel with the actors, eating, and performing ! Sitting behind the light buttons, the sound, the video at times. And then breaking it down and moving on to the next one ...
